Mice As Pets

The most commonly available type
of mouse available as a pet is the domestic
pet mouse. These pet mice have been
selectively bred to enhance the desirable
qualities of the mice. There are also spiny
mice (which are desert creatures that are
a bit trickier to care for), but for the purposes
of this article we will discuss the ordinary
domestic mouse.
Ordinary does not mean boring, however.
If you have ever seen a group of pet mice playing,
you realize they can be quite entertaining pets.
They are a bit skittish and harder to handle
than some of the lager rodents such as rats,
but they can become quite tame and will take
food from the hand and allow themselves to
be handled if started at a yound age.

Mice are quite ideal as small pets that are
entertaining to watch, are easy to care for
and make very few demands on their owners.

Life Span

Their short life span is one of the biggest
drawbacks of mice. On average they live
for about 1.5-2 years, although they can
sometimes live up to 3 years.
Habits

Mice are nocturnal and very social.
They will be very active in the evening and night,
but don't expect to do much with them during
the day. Being social, they are best kept in groups.
A pair of females is the easiest, although larger
groups are fine if you provide the cage space.
Pairs of males should be avoided, unless they
are litter mates, never separated, and given
a large enough cage that they can have their
own space (unfamiliar males are very likely to fight).
Keeping males and females together should be
avoided unless you want lots of mice in a short
amount of time.

Choosing Healthy Mice

When picking out your mice, look for active
bright mice, with smooth clean coats and pink
clean skin on the ears and tail. The eyes and
nose should be free of discharge, and the
mouth and anal areas should be clean and dry.
Their breathing will be relatively fast, but should
not be labored or noisy. Check the cage as
well - it should be clean (the mice have been
well cared for) and the droppings should be formed.
Look for a pet store that separates males and
females at a young age (good breeders will do this).
Mice can reproduce by about 6-8 weeks of age,
although this is very stressful on the female and
should be avoided. If your pet store doen't separate
mice at a young age you may well end up taking home
a pregnant female. To tell the difference between
young males and females check under their tails for
the distance between the anal opening and genital
opening - this distance is shorter in the females.
A breeder or pet store should be able to do this
for you, but it can be hard to do in young mice
unless you have males and females to compare
to each other. In older (6-8 week old) male mice,
the testicles are usually readily visible.

AYAM BELANDA

benda hidup, alam : haiwan, filum : kordata, sub-filum :
bertulang belakang (vertebrata), kelas : burung.
Ayam Belanda ialah haiwan berdarah panas, mempunyai
sayap dan tubuh yang diselubungi bulu pelepah.
Paruh Ayam Belanda tidak bergigi.

Makanan

Pembiakan
Ayam Belanda membiak dengan bertelur.
Telur Ayam Belanda bercangkerang keras.

Care Of Iguana

Green Iguanas have gained popularity off late.
They have not been effectively managed due
to improper education. Here are some basic
care tips which can be followed so that the iguana
lives for a standard life span of 13 to 15 years
are as follows:

Diet – Make sure you provide a healthy and
wholesome diet; otherwise your iguana would
either die or attract some disease. Young iguanas
need to be fed with 2 feeds daily comprising of
1 part of protein and 2 parts of plant food.
The ideal diet should comprise of lots of fresh
fruits and vegetables like carrots, lettuce, apples,
tomatoes, turnips and hibiscus flowers.

Make sure the fruits are organic in nature.
Ideal calcium to phosphorus ratio needs to be maintained.
Do not feed your iguana with iceberg lettuce,
since it is devoid of nutritional value. It is advised
that you do not feed non vegetarian food like meats
in excess, as they would have a harmful effect on the
bones and kidneys of your iguana and could also
 result in kidney stones formation.
It is important that you need to chop, grate and grind
the food in your food processor. Mix the calcium and
vitamins along with the mixture and then deep freeze
portions in ice trays. In case your iguana has not eaten
the food kept in the cage for more than 4-5 hours,
then change the food, lest your iguana could have
stomach problems.

Your iguana should be fed with fresh water,
a place to defecate and also some regular
exercises for it to remain fit and healthy.
Give them a bath twice with each bath of
about 20 minutes. Iguanas tend to shed
in bigger patches which starts from the
head portion and proceeds to the tail.
Provide a tree branch so that they are able
to rub up against.

Lighting /Temperature- Iguanas do not need
light for 24 hours. They need light only for 12 hours in a day.
Bedding and cages- Make sure to change the
bedding daily, so that they do not attract germs.
Cleaning the cages with warm soap water and
then using a disinfectant is helpful.

Sugar Glider As Pets

In the wilds of its native habitat, the Sugar Glider is a tree dwelling creature, often living in groups of 10 to 15.[3] It is active by night when it hunts for insects and small vertebrates and feeds on the sweet sap of certain species of eucalyptus, acacia and gum trees. The Sugar Glider is named for its preference for sweet foods and its ability to glide through the air, much like a flying squirrel.[4][5]

In suitable habitats it is common, often reaching densities of 1 per 1,000 square metres provided that there are tree hollows available for shelter. It lives in groups of up to seven adults, plus the current season's young, all sharing a nest and defending their territory, an example of helping at the nest. Adult males mark the territory with saliva and with a scent produced by separate glands on the forehead and chest, and also mark members of the group with this scent. Visitors which lack the appropriate scent marking are expelled violently. The dominant male mates more frequently with the female of the group than the other males, and does most of the scent marking. When an adult member of the group dies, it is normally replaced by one of the group's own offspring if female, but by an outsider if male.

In the more temperate south, breeding starts in mid-winter (June or July). In the north, there seems to be no particular breeding season. Two young per female is typical; they remain in the pouch for about 70 days, and after leaving it stays inside the nest for another 40 or 50 days, then begin to forage outside, usually under the care of the mother.

The young are normally ejected from the group territory at 7 to 10 months of age. Sometimes they form new groups if an area is vacant, but competition for territory is fierce and not many survive the first months of independent life. In captivity, they may live up to fifteen years.

Hermit Crap As Pets

Hermit crabs are among the more unusual pets,
although they do make interesting, easy care companions.
They have distinct personalities, are active and curious, and their unique characteristics
and low maintenance requirements make them good pets.

Hermit crabs are not "true crabs." They have a smaller, soft abdomen which they protect by living in an empty snail shell. They must find larger shells as they grow, and owners of these pets must provide progressively larger shells as their pets grow. In the wild they are omnivores, feeding on both plant and animal material. There are both marine and land hermit crabs, and the information here refers to the land hermit crab (information on marine hermit crabs can be found on the About Salwater Aquariums site.

In the United States, there are two main species of hermit crabs found as pets: Coenobita clypeatus (goes by a varity of names such as Caribbean crab, purple pincher crab, land hermit crab, tree crab, or soldier crab) and Coenobita compressus (Ecuadorian Crab or E-Crab). Other species are also kept as pets in other parts of the world, such as the Australian land hermit crab (Coenobita variabilis), and the strawberry land hermit crab (Coenobita perlatus).

Land hermit crabs are relatively easy to find in pet stores, but care is required in choosing a potential pet. Check to make sure that all the legs are present (3 pairs of walking legs), the shell covering the head and thorax isn't damaged, there are no parasites/small bugs present, and that the crab is lively. Larger crabs may be more hardy, and if you already have a crab then it is important to match sizes pretty closely otherwise fighting may occur.

Panduan Kolam..

PENGIRAAN KELUASAN KOLAM

Sistem filterasi ni adalah proses pembuangan kotoran dalam kolam ikan termasuk taik ikan, makanan berlebihan, sampah dsbnya. kalau takde sistem filterasi ni, beberapa perkara akan berlaku kat kolam, mahupun pada ikan .

1. Kolam akan menjadi warna HULK (hijau ler tu!)

Contoh kalau kolam tu 1000gallon, maknakata filter tu kena mampu tapis/filter 300gallon air kolam tu.

Maknakata, kalau kolam anda 400gallon400gallon X 3.78541178 liter = 1513 liter 1 gallon
